Architecture Box 001/Vushtrri Red Black Box

The Vushtrri Red Black Box is a present to the women of Vushtrri / Kosovo.
It contains the design for a building for local women.
The building design is housed in the box in the form of a video, a model and a step-by-step
construction manual - similar to a recipe book - on how to construct your own space.
Additional objects within the box are: seeds for the building's garden and roof and a few books for a new reading room that is supposed to grow inside of the building.
As a 'black box' the Vushtrri Red Black Box also contains sketches and diary notes from the Milosevich trials at the War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague.
By presenting the Vushtrri Red Black Box in Kosovo the women of Vushtrri formed a group, occupied a small piece of land for their building on Vushtrri`s main square and handed in a planning application to the Vushtrri authorities.
